Who can join?
- You have a free SmartHub account — that's it. No course purchase required.
- You can refer anyone — friends, classmates, your WhatsApp group, your community.
- You can't refer yourself (we check) or any account already attributed to a different referrer.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a referral?
Any new signup that enters your code (or uses your share link) and then pays for a course, SIWES placement, or the Tech Scholarship Program. Free signups don't earn anything until they convert.
Do I earn on every payment, or only the first?
Every payment. If your referee pays in instalments, you accrue 5% on each one as it lands — so a ₦500,000 course paid in three tranches earns you ₦25,000 across the same three tranches.
When does my earning move from Pending to Approved?
Each commission is held for 5 days from the payment date. If the referee doesn't refund inside that window, the row flips to Approved and becomes withdrawable.
What happens if my referee refunds?
Commissions inside the 5-day window are clawed back automatically (your pending balance drops). If a commission has already been paid out, our team gets a task to reconcile — we don't reverse cash that's already in your account.
How do I get paid?
Add your bank details in /account/settings, submit them for KYC, and then request a payout anytime your approved balance is positive — there's no minimum. We pay by bank transfer and upload proof to your account.
Are the numbers fixed?
Commission rate, clawback window, and minimum payout are set by SmartHub policy and can be updated. The current values above apply at the time of writing; any changes only affect new commissions earned after the change.
Can I refer someone to the free Tech Scholarship?
Yes — scholarship applicants pay ₦15,000 or ₦30,000 once admitted, so the same 5% applies. You earn when they pay the admission fee.
