Get to know what this course is all about and what you'll learn
Course Description
Data Analysis Foundations is a focused, seven-week program that takes you from "I can open a spreadsheet" to "I can clean data, query it, and present what it means." It's built for complete beginners — no coding or maths background required — and every week pairs on-demand lessons with live, hands-on practice.
What you'll learn
- Clean, structure, and prepare messy datasets for analysis in Excel
- Use formulas, lookups, and pivot tables to summarise and explore data
- Apply core statistics — averages, spread, and distributions — to interpret data correctly
- Write SQL queries using SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, and GROUP BY to pull and combine data
- Model data and build an interactive dashboard in Power BI
- Translate a business question into the right analysis and a clear answer
- Complete a capstone: take a real dataset from raw file to a finished, insight-driven dashboard
How it's delivered
Weekday lessons are on-demand (Monday–Thursday); live weekend sessions apply each week's topic with a mentor. The course ends with a capstone project. Submit every exercise and your capstone through your workspace.
What You'll Learn
Go from spreadsheets to real analysis in seven weeks. Data Analysis Foundations covers Excel, statistics, SQL, and Power BI — the exact toolkit junior data analysts use every day — and ends with a dashboard you build from a real dataset.
